Let’s be real. Trying to motivate yourself to go to the gym, workout, go for a run or even eat healthy during the winter period is just not easy. It’s cold. It’s dark, and all you want is to curl up in bed with a Terry’s Chocolate Orange.
Although ultimately it is down to you to drag yourself out of bed and to the gym, there is one thing that can really give you that extra bit of motivation – new activewear.
Now activewear is super comfy to wear around the house, but hopefully stocking up on some new workout gear will give you that extra push to hit the treadmill and weights.
We’ve put together some of our favourites to give you some inspiration.
Nothing makes you feel motivated like bright colours. Whether it’s in the form of some new running leggings, shoes or a hoodie. It just gives you that get up and go attitude.
This neon blue and pink Puma top exclusive to ASOS is perfect. It’s muscle tee style means that it keeps your back warm but gives your body room to breathe when working up a sweat.
With the festive season upon us nothing says ready for Christmas like a new pair of red leggings. These Adidas ones will keep you warm whilst feeling festive.
If you want to throwback to that ombre trend we had over summer then you will love these Onzie high-rise ombre leggings.
It’s winter so you will also need something to keep you warm on your way to and from the gym, or out on your daily run.
A sweatshirt is a must when it comes to keeping warm out there. Our favourite has to be the Nike Vintage grey sweatshirt, it’s super cosy and perfect to wear inside and outside the gym.
If you want something that’s a bit more waterproof then this ASOS track jacket is a great choice. The bright colours will also help you to be seen more as the evenings get darker.
Nothing says motivation likes a slogan t-shirt, especially if it is gym related.
If you prefer something a little more subtle then this “wrk it” sports bra will give you that motivation but without the added attention from people wanting to know what your top says.
The best form of motivation to get your ass to the gym is in the form os new shoes. You’ve got to break them in somehow. They might not be the cheapest of purchases but they will last you so make sure you put some Christmas money aside.
If you’re lucky you might even be able to bag some new ones in the pre-Christmas sales. These Adidas Originals were £65 but are now down to £45.
