Keeping your hair healthy can be hard especially if your always using heat on it or bleaching it within an inch of its life. Here are my tips to keep your hair in good condition.
Chose the right products
Finding the write products for your hair type is going to make a huge difference to the overall condition of your hair.
Make sure you get a shampoo and conditioner that is suitable for the texture of your hair and that will meet its needs.
Aussie are a really great brand that creates products for a range of different hair needs.
Using a deep conditioning mask once a week will help to add moisturise back into the hair, making it feel softer and look shinier.
Stop using heat
Minimising the use of heat on your hair is one of easiest ways to improve its condition. I am always drying and straightening my naturally curly hair which dries it out.
I have tried to reduce the amount of heat I use on my hair by embracing my natural curls once a week. Once I’ve wash it and towel dried it, I add some curl crème for definition and let it air dry.
Protect your hair
If you cannot manage to stop using styling products, then always make sure you use some form of heat protectant on your hair.
Let your natural colour shine through
If your committed to improving the health of your hair, then you need to stopping dying and bleaching it. I know this can be hard but letting your new, natural roots grown will help the rest of your hair.
The chemicals in these products weaken the hair which then cause it to become stripped of its natural oils which makes your hair dry, split or break off.
If you have a problem with frizz, try rising your hair with cold water after washing it. This closes the hairs cuticle and can reduce the amount of frizz in your hair.
Hair vitamins are the new online craze with hundreds of celebrities posting about how amazing it has made their hair. Now I know the majority of them have extensions so it’s hard to see a physical different in their hair.
However, I tried them for myself and absolutely love them. I tried one month of the Hairburst gummy vitamins and my hair has never felt better. It was shinier, softer and actually growing faster than normal. So much that I saw a physical difference to my hair in just a month.
After I finished the month of vitamins, I decided not to buy any more straight away and see if the condition of my hair changed. I didn’t change anything else about my hair routine and my hair just went back to being quite dull. I was amazed at how much of a difference the vitamins made and how much healthier and stronger my hair felt.
Trying just one of these tips will help to improve your current hair situation. I’d love to know your tips on how to look after your hair in the comments below.
